Job summary

The NYC Department of Social Services seeks a qualified Associate Benefit Opportunity Specialist II to lead the Reasonable Accommodations team within HRA/CAS. The role focuses on coordinating RA/HV/NHB services and ensuring ADA compliance and timely case management actions.

You will supervise staff, monitor unit performance, plan activities, and prepare regular reports while coordinating with other teams to safeguard program integrity. Field visits and hearings may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 3 years of full-time experience in social/human services.
• Bachelor's degree plus 18 months of related experience.
• Experience analyzing outcomes and preparing compliance reports.
• Ability to train staff on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee RA/HVN/HB services team and ensure case management plan compliance.
• Plan and monitor unit activities, review outcome reports and audits.
• Prepare regular progress reports and corrective actions.
• Attend hearings and represent the agency when needed.
• Conduct field visits as required.
