Position Summary

The Waste Pro Residential Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Oversees helpers on the route, performs pre-trip and post-trip checks, and performs related work as assigned. Work is supervised and reviewed through observation and discussions.

Essential Job Functions

• Safely drives trucks on pre-established routes, collecting and dumping refuse into trucks, and unloading at landfills or transfer stations.
• Provides courteous and efficient customer service, ensuring proper collection and handling of refuse and recyclables.
• Performs daily vehicle inspections and maintains cleanliness of the truck.
• Assists in manual cleanup of scattered refuse and handles large trash bins.
• Prepares and submits required reports and documents.
• Responsible for safety and compliance with DOT and state regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participates in training courses as required.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technology used by Waste Pro.
• Performs any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment

Works in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, with exposure to noise, fumes, odors, and dust.
