Job summary

Rantec Power Systems in California is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for power supply control. You will contribute to design reviews, validate software on development hardware, and document processes.

Applicants should have a BS in CS or EE with 5+ years of embedded experience, strong C and assembly skills, and familiarity with Windows/Linux and CAD tools. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or similar field).
• 5 years' related experience preferred.
• Experience with C and assembly programming.
• Strong understanding of real-time embedded systems and low-level firmware.
• Experience with 8 and 16-bit embedded programming.
• Exposure to aerospace DO-178B/C standards.
• Experience with Windows and Linux.
• Understanding of Software Configuration Management (git preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop new embedded software products for power supply control.
• Test software integration on development hardware.
• Read and design digital circuits using CAD tools (Altium preferred).
• Support developing tools to be used in production environment.
• Analyze legacy designs, providing hands-on support for troubleshooting production hardware.
