Position Overview

We are seeking a Reality Capture Technician to join our expanding Reality Capture team. This position is responsible for planning and executing UAS missions to collect aerial data for a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience operating drones for mapping and data acquisition, can work independently in the field, and preferably has foundational knowledge of land surveying principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate UAS in full compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations.
  • Plan and execute aerial mapping missions for photogrammetry and LiDAR.
  • Capture, organize, and manage aerial datasets using platforms such as DroneDeploy.
  • Perform basic post-processing, data review, and quality control checks.
  • Set ground control points (GCPs) using Trimble GPS equipment.
  • Submit LAANC authorizations and COA applications when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience with drone flight planning, mapping workflows, and related software.
  • Strong understanding of aerial data collection best practices and field safety.
  • Ability to work independently and manage field schedules and logistics.
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project needs.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to travel 70% or more as needed.
