Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced software engineer to bridge vehicle simulations with flight hardware. You will build and maintain a high‑fidelity emulation environment, develop low‑level drivers, and validate the system against flight hardware through automated tests.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, and Python, plus RTOS knowledge. A passion for space and a collaborative, inclusive culture is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development for embedded systems, simulation, or hardware emulation/testing.
• Proficient in C / C++ development; Python for test automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the software framework for a high-fidelity, real-time hardware emulation.
• Develop, test, and maintain software drivers for emulation hardware interfaces.
• Integrate vehicle component simulations with the hardware emulation platform.
• Develop and execute test plans and automation scripts to validate emulation against flight hardware.
• Debug issues at the software-hardware interface and resolve discrepancies.
