Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to design, develop, and maintain a high-fidelity hardware emulation framework and drivers for emulation hardware interfaces. You will integrate vehicle simulations with the emulation platform and execute rigorous tests to ensure parity with flight hardware. Qualifications include a 5+ year background in embedded software for simulations or hardware emulation, proficiency in C/C++, and RTOS expertise.

U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 5+ years in software development for embedded systems, simulation, or hardware emulation/testing.
• Proficient in C / C++ development.
• Skilled in Python for test automation and data analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of RTOS and embedded control systems.
• Solid understanding of CPU, memory, buses and interrupts.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, Spacewire, CAN, I2C, SPI or UART.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the software framework for a high-fidelity real-time hardware emulation.
• Develop, test, and maintain software drivers for emulation hardware interfaces.
• Integrate vehicle component simulations with the hardware emulation platform.
• Develop and execute test plans, automation scripts, and procedures to validate emulation vs flight hardware.
• Debug complex software-hardware interface issues and resolve discrepancies.
