Leidos is seeking a Real-Time Software Engineer in Arlington, VA to design, develop, and integrate real-time signal processing software for multi-core Linux/RTOS platforms. You will join small, cross‑functional teams delivering fast prototypes and near-term field demonstrations.

Responsibilities include real-time C/C++ programming, hardware/software integration, and testing. Proficiency with GCC/CMake/Make, Linux, and hardware interfaces (PCIe, UART, Ethernet) is required, along with Python or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of software development experience in real-time systems.
• Strong coding in Python, MATLAB, or C++ and OO design.
• Experience with Linux and real-time OS environments.
• Experience with hardware interfaces (PCIe, UART, Ethernet) and build tools.
• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test real-time software for multi-core systems.
• Integrate software with hardware and third-party frameworks.
• Interface communication standards (TCP/IP, UDP, DDS).
• Document developed systems and support field testing.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in spiral/agile processes.
• Read and understand MATLAB algorithms.
