Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors – Sensor Research and Analysis Division seeks a Software Developer to design, implement, and optimize real-time software powering RF seeker capabilities and signal-processing pipelines. You will work with algorithm teams to transition MATLAB/Python models into efficient C++ code for embedded environments.

The role includes participation in closed-loop simulations and HWIL integration, with frequent presentations to government and contractor stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering or related technical field from an ABET-accredited institution with 2+ years of experience in listed areas.
• MS degree with exposure to listed areas is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time software powering RF seeker capabilities and signal-processing pipelines.
• Perform HWIL integration and validation on radar hardware.
• Transition prototype algorithms (MATLAB/Python models) into robust C++ architectures for real-time/embedded environments.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers to refine designs and optimize performance.
• Present progress and findings to government and prime contractor stakeholders.
