Job summary

AMD is seeking a Software Development Engineer - Ray Tracing / Neural Rendering in Bellevue, WA. You will join a team driving real-time rendering advances, implementing and optimizing algorithms to deliver industry-leading visuals on AMD hardware.

The role requires deep C/C++ expertise, experience with GPU-accelerated rendering, and collaboration across graphics research, driver, and game engineering teams. A strong foundation in rendering and graphics algorithms is essential.

Qualifications

• Expert in C and C++ with strong software engineering practices.
• Strong knowledge of real-time rendering and ray tracing concepts.
• Experience with GPU programming and graphics APIs.
• Familiarity with Linux and modern toolchains.
• Ability to optimize performance and debug graphics workloads.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive execution of rendering algorithms for real-time ray tracing and global illumination.
• Research, implement, validate, and optimize rendering techniques (ReSTIR, path tracing, denoising).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new rendering tech on AMD hardware.
• Design and implement scalable graphics architectures and frameworks.
• Work with researchers and engineers from concept to production.
