SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer in a mission-critical role focused on simulation and flight systems. You will own software across the design–build–test–operations pipeline and contribute to both ground and space flight software.

The role emphasizes high-performance real-time data streaming, robust testing, and scalable architectures. Collaboration with diverse engineering teams is essential as you help push forward cutting-edge propulsion and spaceflight technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline and 1+ years of software development experience; or 3+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
• Professional experience with C++, Rust, or Go
• Ability to design and implement high-performance software for real-time flight systems

Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop prototypes to prove design concepts and constraints
• Develop high-performance modules for real-time flight systems data streaming
• Contribute to test automation processes and CI/CD infrastructure
• Create and maintain high-fidelity simulation and flight software for all vehicles
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability of simulation and flight platforms
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to deliver new features that boost system capabilities and performance
