Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineering intern to join our Transmission Control Center team in Colorado. You will gain hands-on exposure to outage coordination, real-time issue resolution, and power system monitoring while supporting tools and databases used by the team.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled as Electrical Engineering students, able to work full-time during summer and part-time during the academic year, and able to commute in-person per our hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at an accredited college/university.
• Able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours/week).
• Able to work part-time during the school year (16 hours/week).
• Able to commute in-person to designated work location per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Support Transmission Control Center activities alongside Engineering staff.
• Assist with tools, programs, and databases used for outage coordination, powerflow studies, monitoring, and real-time issue resolution.
• Perform simple power flow studies for planned transmission outages.
• Conduct transmission line loading reviews.
• Support restoration planning.
• Work as an entry-level engineer and collaborate with teams across the transmission business unit.

• Interest in the energy industry and the future of energy
