Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks an Operations Shift Technical Advisor to be based in Aiken, SC, at the Savannah River Site. The role supports the Shift Manager with real-time technical decisions, evaluates operating parameters, and ensures safety-basis compliance during normal and emergency operations.

The position requires an engineering degree or equivalent with relevant experience, plus familiarity with DSA/TSRs, LCOs, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Alternative: high school diploma with extensive, relevant work experience.
• SRS Control Room Manager or similar operations qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and decision support to the Shift Manager during operations.
• Monitor facility conditions and parameters; take action to maintain safety limits.
• Interpret safety basis requirements and ensure proper implementation on shift.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Nuclear Safety, Maintenance and others to resolve issues.
• Lead safety basis-related reviews and document SRMS activities.
