Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Princeton, NJ, is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to advance real-time neurovascular imaging and interventional AI capabilities. You will develop algorithms for detecting interventional devices in fluoroscopy sequences and perform 2D/3D image fusion for integrated workflow.

You will collaborate with clinicians and researchers to validate models in a regulated medical device environment, contribute to IP, publish findings, and stay at the forefront of AI for image-guided therapy.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of AI/ML development experience (industry or academia).
• Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience developing and validating machine learning models for medical imaging or computer vision applications.

Responsibilities

• Developing AI algorithms for real-time detection and tracking of interventional devices in live fluoroscopy and angiography sequences.
• Developing 2D/3D fusion and registration methods for integrating pre-procedural and intra-procedural imaging into the live view.
• Building foundation models and optimizing latency to meet real-time constraints on clinical hardware.
• Building interventional digital twins and simulators for synthetic data generation and model validation.
• Translating clinical requirements into data, annotation, and model performance specifications.
• Performing validation and statistical evaluation of AI algorithms under realistic procedural conditions.
• Coordinating data collection, annotation, development, and validation across projects.
• Contributing to IP generation and peer-reviewed research with clinical and technical stakeholders.
• Proposing and driving new AI/ML initiatives in image-guided neurointervention.
