Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an AI/ML Engineer in Princeton, NJ, focusing on real-time neurointerventional imaging. You will develop algorithms for device detection, 2D/3D fusion, and real-time deployment on clinical hardware, collaborating with clinicians and imaging scientists.

You will translate clinical needs into data and model requirements, validate AI performance under procedural conditions, and contribute to research and IP in a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in CS/EE/Biomedical Engineering/Robotics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of AI/ML development experience.
• Hands-on Python and ML framework experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI algorithms for real-time detection and tracking of interventional devices in live fluoroscopy and angiography sequences.
• Develop 2D/3D fusion and registration methods bringing pre/procedural 3D imaging into live 2D view.
• Build foundation models for interventional imaging that meet real-time latency requirements.
• Create interventional digital twins and simulators for synthetic data generation and training device navigation agents.
• Translate clinical requirements into data, annotation, and model performance needs.
• Validate and statistically evaluate AI algorithms for accuracy, robustness, and latency.
• Coordinate data collection, annotation, model development, and validation across projects.
• Contribute to IP generation and peer‑reviewed research with clinical/technical stakeholders.
• Propose and drive new AI/ML initiatives in image-guided neurointervention.
• Stay updated on state‑of‑the‑art tech and HPC architectures.
