Job summary

Siemens Healthineers' Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) team in Princeton, NJ, seeks an AI/ML Engineer to develop real-time AI solutions for neurovascular interventions, spanning model development to validation within a regulated medical device environment.

You will collaborate with clinical and imaging scientists to translate workflow needs into robust AI systems, focusing on detector, fusion, and navigation capabilities for stroke and aneurysm treatments.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of AI/ML development experience (industry or academic).
• Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience developing and validating machine learning models for medical imaging or computer vision applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and clinical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI algorithms for real-time detection and tracking of interventional devices in live fluoroscopy and angiography.
• Develop 2D/3D fusion and registration methods for integrating pre-procedural and intra-procedural imaging.
• Build foundation models optimized for real-time latency on clinical hardware.
• Create interventional digital twins and simulators for device navigation and synthetic data generation.
• Translate clinical requirements into data, annotation, and model performance criteria.
• Validate AI algorithms with rigorous statistical evaluation under realistic conditions.
• Coordinate data collection, annotation, and validation across multiple projects.
