Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Software Developer for the Market Data Interfaces (MDI) team to design, build, test, and operate real-time and batch data workflows across the Alpha Data Platform.

You'll work in an Agile Scrum environment on Java-based microservices, cloud-native deployments, and automated quality, with ownership of production support and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain RTAPI components and related backend services for real-time and batch data processing.
• Build and support ADP microservices using event-driven and service-oriented patterns.
• Implement user stories and defects to meet acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed services and integration layers.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, functional, and regression tests.
• Improve QA automation coverage for APIs, event-driven flows, and vendor/provider integrations.
• Review code and test plans with peers; contribute to release readiness.
