Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to develop real-time geospatial mapping tools for planetary exploration. You will contribute to M2M CSDS and WITME, collaborating with NASA Ames and CLPS teams to prototype uncertainty-aware data fusion and web-based interfaces.

The role emphasizes frontend mapping, 3D terrain visualization, and backend services using Python, Docker, and PostGIS in a mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
• Experience with JavaScript and at least one MVC framework.
• Experience with geospatial mapping libraries and 3D terrain data.

Responsibilities

• Work on NASA Ames projects for Artemis, CLPS and Moon missions.
• Develop M2M CSDS and WITME data systems and user interfaces.
• Integrate FedRAMP and NASA-approved AI tools for data summarization and search.
• Collaborate with science teams to enable real-time decision support.
