Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Engineer with RF processing expertise to join our HPC team in San Jose, CA. You will implement HDL/RTL for real-time RF DSP on FPGAs and optimize these algorithms for high-performance wireless and RF sensing products.

This hybrid on-site role requires three days per week in our San Jose office, collaboration across RF hardware, software, and data teams, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Competitive salary and equity offered.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional FPGA development of RF algorithms.
• Experience with RF DSP techniques: spectrum monitoring, modulation, filtering, synchronization.
• Proficiency in RTL/HDL (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL) and FPGA design flows.
• Ability to collaborate with a distributed cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with modern software development tooling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize RF processing algorithms on FPGAs for real-time execution; port to ARM FPGA-SoCs.
• Design, simulate, implement and integrate DSP and modulation algorithms for RF applications.
• Collaborate with RF hardware engineers and other software departments for system bring-up and calibration.
• Author technical documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
