Job summary

Kforce has a client in Foster City, CA seeking a Fleet Support Engineer. This role supports the BaseOps fleet, diagnosing issues from logs, authoring troubleshooting guides, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Expect hardware bring-up, diagnostic design, and ongoing reliability improvements.

The position requires a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 2–4 years in relevant fields. Night/weekend shifts, occasional travel, and US-wide support are possible as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 2–4 years in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience with low/high voltage circuits and Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS).
• Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams; strong troubleshooting.
• Holistic problem-solving approach to vehicle systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for real-time escalations on fleet issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis through log reviews and data trends.
• Develop and maintain a troubleshooting guide for technicians.
• Perform hardware bring-up and validation for new vehicle components.
• Design diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting.
• Review fleet data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with design teams to enhance tooling and issue detection.
• Implement countermeasures to prevent recurring issues.
• Capture data to validate issue resolution and measure effectiveness.
• Occasional travel within the U.S. for operations support.
