Job summary

EDF Trading North America, LLC is a major participant in wholesale energy markets and delivers customized energy solutions for our customers. Responsible for executing trades within short timeframes, often within the same trading day, the primary goal is to optimize value and manage risk of the portfolio of assets managed by EDFT in the assigned region.

Experience in energy trading or related markets.
Ability to analyze market data and execute trades.
Familiarity with risk management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage energy portfolio for assigned desk/region.
Execute orders/trades for assigned markets.
May launch market research and data analysis.
Capture market opportunities based on real-time positions and analysis of market conditions.
Respond to and manage unexpected events or emergencies that may impact gas/power supply, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risk and minimise disruptions.
Analyze market conditions and develop trading strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
Monitor and manage trading risks.
Monitor market trends and prepare daily reports.
May participate in the development of more complex trading strategies.
Monitor energy markets, and analyse market conditions, news, and trends to identify potential trading opportunities.
Ensure all activities comply with trading regulations and market rules.
Obtain and maintain required certifications.
