Job summary

Placements24 seeks an energetic Energy Trader for a remote trading desk, handling crude oil, natural gas, electricity, and derivatives to maximize profits and control risk in a fast-paced market.

You will analyze market data, execute strategies, monitor positions, and report to risk management. A 3–5 year track record in energy trading plus a finance-related degree is required; MBA is a plus. This is a full‑time remote role with strong compensation and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in energy commodity trading or related financial markets.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, pricing mechanisms, and derivatives.
• Proficiency with trading platforms and data analysis tools.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute trading strategies for energy commodities in line with objectives and risk limits.
• Monitor market trends, news, and geopolitical events affecting prices.
• Analyze market data and develop profitable strategies based on fundamental and technical analysis.
• Manage trading positions, monitor risk exposure, and hedge as necessary.
• Communicate with risk management, research, and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate trading records and ensure regulatory compliance.
