Job summary

EDF Trading North America, LLC is seeking a Real Time Trader to support the ERCOT desk in managing power needs for customers. You will trade, schedule and mitigate risks on the ERCOT grid, working a DuPont schedule with day and night shifts.

Responsibilities include real-time trading, risk management, and market analysis while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong data-driven insights using Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Finance or Engineering preferred.
• At least 2 years' experience in the energy power sector required.
• Experience with power markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, CAISO, WECC) preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mitigate risk for asset owners in real time.
• Conduct real-time trading and scheduling for energy and ancillary services.
• Capture market opportunities from real-time positions and analysis.
• Communicate market information to energy managers and traders.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with FERC and ERCOT ISO.
