Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build a real-time data ecosystem that ingests high-speed sensor, telemetry, and video data, delivering near-real-time insights within a distributed architecture. You will help create pipelines processing data from players, balls, cameras, and high-speed video capture.

You will join a small, collaborative engineering team and contribute to architecture, coding, and customer-facing discussions.

Qualifications

• Seven years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and C# for production-quality code.
• Experience building real-time or near-real-time systems handling high-volume telemetry.
• Hands-on experience with real-time messaging and distributed systems (ROS/DDS or similar).
• Strong system architecture experience for distributed and real-time systems.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership while coding.
• Strong communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time and near-real-time software processing high-volume telemetry and control data.
• Build and optimize pipelines for high-speed sensor, telemetry, and video data.
• Contribute to architecture and distributed system design for scalability and performance.
• Implement production-ready code primarily in C++ and C#.
• Support full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with onsite engineering and product stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Participate in biweekly meetings and customer discussions to communicate progress.
• Provide technical leadership within a junior team and mentor others.
• Adapt to new languages and technologies as the system evolves.
