Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect and implement distributed data systems for near real-time analytics. You will own high-throughput pipelines, process streaming events from mobile ads, and ensure data correctness and performance at scale.

Responsibilities include modernizing the architecture with gRPC, optimizing low-latency services, and building robust ad-serving components. Collaboration with ML, Reporting, and partners is essential in this high-impact role.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in distributed systems and systems design.
• Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale data processing systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala and stream processing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end attribution pipeline from user interaction to data warehouse delivery.
• Build and operate real-time ad event processing pipelines for terabytes of data.
• Lead architectural modernization with migration to a gRPC-based service.
• Improve low-latency data services, caching, and persistence layers.
• Build and maintain ad serving infrastructure including logging, tracing, and Docker integrations.
• Drive data health monitoring and batch pipelines in BigQuery.
