Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist for the Seattle area to support a 24/7 Regional Crisis Line. This role guides frontline workers during overnight shifts, ensuring compassionate, effective care and timely responses.

You will debrief staff after difficult calls and coordinate with hospitals and partners. Ideal candidates bring behavioral health/crisis intervention experience, calm under pressure, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Background in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or substance use services.
  • Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
  • Comfort working with multiple technology systems at once.
  • Education/experience meeting one of the listed options.
  • WA AAC credential required by end of probation; reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time clinical guidance to crisis line staff.
  • Support assessment, intervention planning, and crisis resolution.
  • Offer debriefing and emotional support to staff after challenging calls.
  • Monitor call activity for timely, high-quality responses.
  • Coordinate care with hospitals and community partners.
  • Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in training, quality improvement, and team collaboration.
