Job summary

DESC's Crisis Solutions Center in Seattle seeks an On-Call Support Staff to assist adults in crisis. You will monitor safety, assist with wellness checks, and help with meals and daily duties as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This temporary union position requires 1 year of relevant experience, availability for variable shifts, and a willingness to attend onboarding and training. The role offers meaningful work, EAP benefits, and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant paid work experience (substitutable as described).
• Ability to obtain Washington State Food Handler’s Permit.
• Be reasonably available to accept on-call shifts with less than 24 hours' notice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security by monitoring cameras and answering calls.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate responses.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the work area.
• Assist with meals and daily client care activities.
• Document interactions and shift occurrences as needed.
