Job summary

Cognizant US is seeking a Network Architect to lead ADMS hardware upgrade design, documenting architectures and secure communications for real‑time operations. You will create diagrams, define IP addressing and firewall rules, and ensure reliable performance across OMS, SCADA, DMS, DERMS, and GIS integrations.

The role emphasizes documentation, risk identification, and collaboration with Grid Operations, OT teams, and cybersecurity professionals to align with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise network architecture (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewall design, segmentation, redundancy, security zoning).
• Experience designing networks for real‑time systems or mission‑critical OT environments.
• Ability to document architecture clearly and proactively identify technical risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed network and system architecture diagrams for ADMS components and integrations (OMS, SCADA, DMS, DERMS, GIS).
• Draft firewall rules and secure communication paths to support ADMS with real‑time performance.
• Document IP addressing, hostnames, LAN/VLAN segments, and routing requirements for ADMS hardware and integrated platforms.
• Identify risks, evaluate failure modes, and support testing of failover, segmentation behaviors, and real‑time validation.
