Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a Senior Manager, Real Property to lead RTD’s real property functions including right-of-way, property management, leasing, relocation, and related legal documents. This role supports asset management and capital projects.

The position oversees budgets, negotiates real estate transactions, and ensures compliance with federal and state laws, RTD policies, and a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• Real estate broker license, appraisal certification, and/or right-of-way certification.
• Five years of progressive public real estate or related transit experience.
• Experience leading professional staff and developing employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee right-of-way management plans and federally mandated programs.
• Lead EIS studies for corridor alignments and major facilities.
• Manage relocation projects, budgets, and grant eligibility.
• Draft and maintain land acquisition, leases, licenses and related documents.
• Collaborate with agencies and private entities for agreements and permits.
• Prepare annual budget and Transportation Development Plan for Real Property.
