Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) seeks a Senior Manager, Real Property to lead RTD’s real property functions and support asset management, real estate strategy, and capital projects in Denver, Colorado.

The role oversees right-of-way acquisition, property management, leasing, relocation programs, and related legal documents, ensuring compliance with federal/state laws and funding requirements. Strong leadership and regulatory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or Business required.
• Real estate broker license, appraisal certification, and/or right-of-way certification.
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in public real estate, property acquisition, right-of-way management, or transit development.
• Experience with federal property acquisition regulations and relocation procedures.
• Experience leading professional staff, including coaching and development.

Responsibilities

• Oversees right-of-way management plans (RAMP) for RTD projects.
• Leads participation in Environmental Impact Statement studies.
• Manages relocation projects and related budgets/risks.
• Drafts/maintains land acquisition, leasing, permits, and joint development documents.
• Collaborates with public agencies and private entities for permits and agreements.
• Prepares annual Real Property budgets and Transportation Development Plan (TDP).
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and RTD policies.
