Job summary

Harrison Street Asset Management (HSAM) seeks a two-year Associate to join the Transactions team, focusing on evalution, underwriting, and execution of real estate investments across multifamily, office, industrial, and retail sectors in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports equity acquisitions and credit originations, requiring strong financial modeling, attention to detail, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a STEM‑related field.
• 3 years of experience in real estate or investment banking with underwriting exposure.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills; Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; Argus experience preferred.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to summarize analyses.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious about real estate investing.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition and execution of new equity investments and credit originations.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial cash flow models and sensitivity analyses.
• Conduct market research, asset-level diligence, and comparative analyses.
• Prepare and present in pipeline meetings and investment committees.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive transaction closure.
• Conduct sector and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
