Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Procurement Specialist in the Raleigh area to support purchasing across property operations, maintenance, construction, and improvement projects. The role involves processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, tracking deliveries, and maintaining purchasing records.

You will help ensure timely procurement at competitive pricing and work with cross-functional groups to plan upcoming needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, order management, inventory, warehouse operations, or vendor coordination preferred.
• Experience creating or processing purchase orders strongly preferred.
• Comfortable communicating directly with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple purchasing requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working within a procurement, purchasing, accounting, or ERP system.
• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
• Interest in developing negotiation, vendor management, and cost-analysis skills.
• Experience supporting construction, real estate, property management, facilities, or maintenance purchasing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
• Track outstanding orders, delivery schedules, and fulfillment status.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery dates, discrepancies, and order issues.
• Help review vendor pricing, terms, and service expectations.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, vendor records, and internal procurement systems.
• Assist with basic procurement agreements and vendor documentation.
• Monitor vendor performance related to quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
• Partner closely with property management, construction, finance, and operations teams to understand upcoming purchasing requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries, returns, replacements, and resolution of incorrect or delayed shipments.
• Support internal procurement procedures, audit requirements, and compliance processes.
• Assist with reporting related to purchasing activity, vendor performance, spending, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Occasionally support receiving, inventory counts, material verification, and organization of incoming supplies.
