Job summary

Marc Realty LLC in the Chicago metropolitan area seeks a driven real estate paralegal to manage and administer commercial lease agreements across its portfolio. You will review, draft, and negotiate leases and provide support through the leasing process.

The role involves due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions, data entry in property management systems, and collaboration with property management, brokerage, and accounting teams. A certificate and CRE experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate matters, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, preferably familiarity with commercial leases and real estate legal terminology.
• Familiarity with lease management software and databases, preferred.
• Experience assisting with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise commercial lease agreements, amendments, termination agreements, legal notices, and other related documents.
• Assist in preparing redlines, formatting revisions, and incorporating attorney and business feedback into updated drafts.
• Enter and update lease data in property management software systems and create lease abstracts.
• Track lease transaction status and maintain leasing pipelines to ensure deadlines are met.
• Liaise with property management, brokerage, and accounting teams to address lease-related inquiries and resolve open issues.
• Coordinate the execution of lease documents between tenants and property owners.
• Help maintain and update contract templates and clause libraries.
• Assist with due diligence review for acquisitions, dispositions, and property financing transactions.
• Provide general administrative support to the leasing team as needed.
