Job summary

Fitness International is seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to support its Irvine team in all aspects of commercial leasing and purchase/sale transactions. The role partners with in-house and outside attorneys and multiple company departments to ensure accurate, timely documentation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years leasing paralegal experience, a BA preferred, and paralegal certification preferred. Proficiency with MS Office and ability to manage multiple tasks is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leasing paralegal experience in commercial leasing.
• BA degree preferred and paralegal certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and proprietary systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks professionally and proactively.
• Strong written and verbal communication; negotiates with internal teams/tenants.
• Ability to track and meet deadlines.
• Notary Public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review title commitments and title exceptions, surveys and zoning matters.
• Review leases and prepare lease abstracts.
• Assist in preparation, review, editing and negotiation of commercial real estate purchase/sales docs.
• Review and negotiate SNDAs.
• Advise in-house departments on interpretation and administration of leases and related documents.
• Prepare closing documents and organize them for the closing process.
• Assist with execution of documents.
• Follow up on post-closing matters.
