The ideal candidate has 5+ years of real estate transactional experience, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple closings and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• 5+ years of Real Estate transactional experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and able to track an acquisition from initial contact through closing
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
• Demonstrate an ability to meet strict deadlines, with multiple projects while maintaining organized project files
• Proficiency with MS Office, with proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook, with high proficiency in MS Word
• Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; close vision and peripheral vision requirements

Responsibilities

• Review legal descriptions of property based on third-party title work
• Work with municipalities, governmental agencies, and outside consultants in obtaining due diligence information and documentation
• Manage communication, document execution and workflow for closings of Forestar acquisitions
• Review and confirm closing statements, including tax prorations and other fees/charges
• Coordinate acquisition file management and ensure timely steps are taken in the process
• Assist in drafting and revising purchase and sale agreements, assignments, development management agreements, deeds and affidavits
• Create closing checklists and procure necessary transactional approvals
• Assist in drafting vendor agreements for construction and development of real estate
