Job summary

Plona Partners is seeking a paralegal with strong commercial real estate transactional and financing experience to support closing activities, title work, and due diligence in a law firm setting.

The role requires handling title commitments, drafting deeds and financing statements, and coordinating with title companies, clients, and internal teams. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate transactional and financing paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience and proficiency with title insurance matters, including examination of title and survey, title commitments and policies.
• Experience with due diligence reviews of documents.
• Experience handling commercial closings and preparing related documents (UCC financing statements, closing letters, closing docs).
• Experience drafting deeds, mortgages and other real estate transactional documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in electronic recordings and official records searches.
• Experience with formation of corporations and LLCs.
• Strong organization and detail orientation.
• Ability to communicate with clients and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial real estate closings and related document preparation.
• Examine titles and survey information; coordinate with title companies.
• Prepare title commitments and title policies; address title issues.
• Perform due diligence reviews of documents and disclosures.
• Draft deeds, mortgages, financing statements and related documents.
• Utilize MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint to manage files and correspondence.

Job description

Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 + OT and bonus

Duties include, but not limited to:

• A minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate transactional and financing paralegal experience in a law firm setting
• Experience and proficiency with matters pertaining to title insurance, including examination of title and survey, preparation of title commitments and policies, and working with title companies regarding any issuance of title commitments and policies or working to resolve title issues.
• Experience and proficiency with due diligence reviews of documents
• Experience and proficiency with handling commercial closings and preparing related documents, including, but not limited to, UCC financing statements, closing instruction letters, and closing documents and binders.
• Experience and proficiency with drafting and preparing deeds, mortgages, financing statements and other real estate transactional and financing documents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in electronic recordings and official records searches
• Experience with the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and other entities
• Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate with clients and to work independently
