Real Estate Paralegal
The Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys and clients through all phases of commercial real estate matters, including due diligence, title and survey review, financing documentation, entity formation, and closing coordination.
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience in a law firm setting.
Duties
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Experience and proficiency with matters pertaining to title insurance, including examination of title and survey, preparation of title commitments and policies, and working with title companies regarding any issuance of title commitments and policies or working to resolve title issues.
- Experience and proficiency with due diligence reviews of documents.
- Experience and proficiency with handling commercial closings and preparing related documents, including, but not limited to, UCC financing statements, closing instruction letters, and closing documents and binders.
- Experience and proficiency with drafting and preparing deeds, mortgages, financing statements and other real estate transactional and financing documents.
- Proficiency in electronic recordings and official records searches.
Responsibilities
- Support commercial real estate transactional and financing matters from due diligence through closing.
- Review title commitments, surveys, due diligence materials, and transaction documents to identify and help resolve issues.
- Prepare and organize closing documents, UCC financing statements, closing instruction letters, closing binders, deeds, mortgages, and related real estate documents.
- Coordinate with title companies, clients, attorneys, lenders, and other transaction parties to support timely and accurate closings.
- Handle electronic recordings, official records searches, entity formation documentation, and document management responsibilities.
- Maintain organized files, track deadlines, prioritize tasks, and communicate status updates clearly and professionally.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $92,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support commercial real estate transactional and financing matters in a law firm setting.
- Manage title, survey, due diligence, closing, and post-closing documentation.
- Prepare real estate financing documents, closing binders, UCC filings, deeds, mortgages, and related transaction materials.
- Coordinate commercial closings and communicate with clients, title companies, attorneys, lenders, and other parties.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate transactional and financing paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of title insurance matters, including examination of title and surveys, preparation of title commitments and policies, and resolution of title issues.
- Experience conducting due diligence reviews of transaction documents.
- Proficiency with commercial closings and preparation of related documents.
- Experience drafting and preparing deeds, mortgages, financing statements, and other real estate transactional and financing documents.
- Proficiency in electronic recordings and official records searches.
- Experience with formation of corporations, limited liability companies, and other entities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using electronic document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and interact professionally with clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- FileSite experience.
- Experience supporting complex commercial real estate transactions in a high-volume law firm environment.
- Strong familiarity with Florida real estate recording procedures and title company coordination.
