Real Estate Paralegal Atlanta GA

Under the supervision of an attorney, performs a range of substantive duties to support the attorneys of the Firm in real estate and other matters of a multi-state practice as requested or assigned. Researches, compiles, analyzes and summarizes information to prepare drafts of title, legal or other documents and correspondence for attorney review. Coordinates efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, other parties and outside vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares/drafts documents necessary for commercial real estate sale and/or loan transactions per attorneys’ requests.
  • Organizes all necessary documents and research for matter files and attorney review.
  • Performs and documents Title Abstracts and/or Tax reviews.
  • Organizes, calendars, coordinates and completes all steps necessary for a variety of transactions and matters, including commercial real estate sale, lease and/or loan transactions, assignments, closings, escrow transfers, transaction reporting, etc.
  • Completes all documentation including post-closing matters such as recording, title policies, certificates of titles, etc.
  • Prepares entity formation documentation and/or annual filings.
  • Locates and reviews information applicable to a particular case, person or subject via online research or document reviews.
  • Maintains records and enters information into time billing system regarding work performed by client and mater.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Concise, highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads from multiple attorneys, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines as assigned.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and summarize information such as property and ownership records and transfers in variety of jurisdictions and databases.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel, Nuance, Adobe, Legal Document Management System such as iManage, WorkShare.
  • Demonstrated experience in variety of deals, filings and other transactions relevant to the practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work independently as well as within team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five years of commercial law firm real estate experience.
  • Commercial real estate and title search experience.
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed.
