The Patterson Group, part of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support transaction management and client service in Alexandria, VA. The role focuses on organizing, coordinating, and communicating across teams to ensure smooth real estate transactions.
You will work in-office, handle scheduling, maintain files, and assist with bookkeeping and vendor coordination, contributing to a high-standard client experience.
The Patterson Group is one of Northern Virginia’s most trusted residential real estate teams, backed by 40 years of experience and deep local expertise.
Recognized as the #1 real estate team in Virginia and the #1 team in Alexandria, and ranked among the nation’s top-producing teams, we are known for strategic guidance, responsive service, and results-driven representation at every price point.
Our team is built on integrity, discretion, professionalism, and a commitment to taking great care of our clients. We have strong local connections and a collaborative group of experienced real estate professionals who work closely together to create an exceptional experience for every client.
We believe that luxury is defined by service, not price point. Every client deserves thoughtful, personalized service, and every member of our team plays an important role in creating that experience.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become an important part of that team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, learning new things, and being involved in the many moving pieces that go into a successful real estate transaction.
Real estate moves fast. Every day is different. The majority of your week will be spent in the office managing transactions, client communications, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities. The remainder may involve supporting listing launches, meeting vendors, assisting agents, visiting properties, coordinating inspections, or solving whatever challenge the day brings.
No two days will look exactly alike. One hour you might be preparing contracts, the next answering a phone, meeting a vendor at a property, helping stage a home, attending a walkthrough, assisting with bookkeeping, or ensuring a closing stays on schedule.
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, thoughtful, and eager to learn.
Real estate experience is helpful, but it isn't everything. We can teach you the real estate side of the business. We're more interested in finding someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in their work, and is excited to grow with our team.

Preferred:
While an active Virginia real estate license is not required upon hire, the successful candidate must be willing to obtain one within their first 12 months of employment. We'll help you get there.
This isn't a traditional 9-to-5 desk job.
It isn't fully administrative, and it isn't solely transaction management. You'll have the opportunity to learn many different sides of the real estate business while becoming an important part of our team.
You’ll work closely with experienced agents, clients, vendors, and other professionals while gaining hands-on experience in residential real estate operations and client service.
We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us and build a long-term career, not simply fill a position.
If you're organized, enjoy working with people, like having a variety of responsibilities, and are excited to learn more about real estate in Alexandria, we'd love to meet you.
