About your new role

Our national Real Estate team provides a complete range of legal and advisory services on all aspects of commercial property for both the public and private sectors. We advise on and draft heads of terms, development agreements, and associated construction, planning, and site disposal matters, funding arrangements, freehold transfers, and associated due diligence procedures, as well as grants, assignments, and renewals of leases. Our clients include major retailers, leisure operators, regional developers, local authorities, universities, and social housing providers. We have been involved in projects ranging from £100 million city centre regeneration schemes to smaller bespoke ventures. Our services also include managing large property portfolios for occupiers, investors, and utility providers, supporting our corporate and banking teams with real estate matters, and advising on LTA 1954 renewals, easements, covenants, service charges, and land registration.

We are currently recruiting a Real Estate Newly Qualified to join our team.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of Real Estate cases
• Provide support to other team members
• Draft and prepare various real estate documents
• Liaise with internal and external parties
• Supervise and develop junior staff as required
• Ensure work quality meets high standards
• Manage time effectively
• Complete MI procedures as needed
• Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
• Adhere to deadlines, quality measures, and KPIs
• Comply with policies and procedures
• Work in line with Weightmans’ values

About You

• Experience of and keen interest in real estate work
• 0-1 years PQE experience
• Familiarity with landlord and tenant issues and property management; experience in development work is an advantage
