Job summary

Sklar Kirsh seeks a real estate transactional attorney in Los Angeles with 4–7 years of experience to draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and capital markets contracts. You will coordinate with partners and paralegals to hit deadlines and advance complex deals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise real estate transactional agreements, including purchase and sale agreements and loan docs.
• Draft real estate capital markets documents such as joint venture operating agreements and preferred equity agreements.
• Coordinate with partners and paralegals to meet deadlines and keep deals moving forward.

Job description

Responsibilities Include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and revising: (i) real estate transactional agreements including purchase and sale agreements and loan documentation, and (ii) real estate capital markets agreements, such as joint venture operating agreements, syndication agreements, preferred equity agreements and other entity documents.
• Managing and coordinating with partners and paralegals on the deal to make sure deadlines are hit to facilitate the timely and orderly procession of the deal
• Managing multiple deadlines and tasks for various clients at once

Candidate Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of real estate transaction experience
• PSA and financing documentation
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and relationship skills, will have lots of direct contact with clients
• Able to take a deal from start to finish and keep the deal moving forward
• Positive attitude, team player, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of multi-tasking and expanding their skill set

Details:

• Billable Hour Requirement: 1,800 hours
• Compensation: $225,000 – $275,000 annually
• Business Development Budget: $2,500 per year
