Job summary

WECU in Bellingham, WA is seeking a full-time Real Estate Loan Processor to join the Real Estate department. You will manage loan files from submission to funding, ensuring timely closings, and ensure compliance with TRID and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate with loan officers, members, and closing staff to clear conditions and prepare documents for underwriting and closings. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and prior loan

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent (GED) required.
• Experience and/or training in loan processing or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in loan processing preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage loan files from submission to funding ensuring timely closings.
• Review applications for accuracy and completeness and follow up with loan officer.
• Pre-underwrite by reviewing income, credit, assets, and collateral per guidelines.
• Load documents into the loan origination system per procedures.
• Prepare and submit files for underwriting and address issues identified.
• Order third‑party documentation and monitor order statuses.
• Clear underwriting conditions with members and loan officers.
• Close files and ensure funding conditions are met.
• Prepare loan documents for closings when needed.
• Communicate loan status with members and officers.
