Job summary

Wawa, Inc. is seeking two Real Estate Interns for Summer 2027 in Media, PA. The program offers hands-on experience in analytics, reporting, and project management within a collaborative corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in real estate, business analytics, data science or statistics with Spring 2028–Spring 2030 graduation window.
• Onsite at Wawa Corporate HQ in Media, PA four days per week through the internship.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience with data analytics tools (GIS, Python, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
• Prior internship, project, or leadership in Real Estate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support real estate projects driving new store growth, remodels and property management.
• Analyze location, market and operational data to identify trends and aid decisions.
• Assist with reporting, dashboard development and ad hoc analytics across Real Estate.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project coordination and process improvements.
• Help maintain data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support business systems initiatives.
• Build presentations, reports, and recommendations for strategic planning and operations excellence.

Wawa Internship Program Overview

The Wawa Internship Program offers students hands‑on experience in a collaborative corporate environment, where they work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business projects, and build skills that support their academic and professional growth. Throughout the summer, interns participate in professional development and networking opportunities with fellow interns and company leaders. The program culminates in a capstone presentation, where interns showcase key projects, accomplishments, and the impact of their contributions.

We are currently seeking two interns to join our Real Estate team for Summer 2027. Interns will be aligned to one of the two focus areas based on their interests, experience, and skills:

• Real Estate Operations : Supporting property management, site acquisition, open-store projects, remodels, and new-store growth.
• Location Analytics & Data : Supporting analytics, reporting, data governance, data quality, business systems, and location-based decision-making.

What You’ll Do

As a Real Estate Intern, you'll gain hands‑on experience supporting Wawa's growth strategy through real estate analytics, reporting, project management, and operational support. Depending on business needs and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:

• Support real estate projects that drive new store growth, remodels, and property management initiatives.
• Analyze location, market, and operational data to identify trends and support business decision‑making.
• Assist with reporting, dashboard development, and ad hoc analytics to provide insights across the Real Estate organization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project coordination, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Help maintain data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support business systems and technology initiatives.
• Build presentations, reports, and recommendations that support strategic planning and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2030.
• Ability to work onsite at Wawa Corporate Headquarters in Media, PA, four days per week throughout the internship program.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Previous internship, project, or leadership experience related to Real Estate is preferred.
• Experience with data analytics tools (GIS, Python, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and/or knowledge of statistics, data visualization, database concepts, or data quality and governance practices is preferred.
