Job summary

MAA is seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Germantown, TN to support monthly close processes by preparing journal entries, posting to the general ledger, and ensuring financial statement accuracy. You will work under a supervisor/manager and contribute to internal and external reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Two years of professional accounting, finance or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Applies GAAP to prepare journal entries for posting to the general ledger and monthly close for each property.
• Reviews financial statements, prepares accruals, amortizations and reclassifications for GAAP compliance.
