Qualifications

• 3–6 years of CRE finance experience.

• Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing due diligence and transaction closings.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission.

A leading Am law firm is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Finance Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its national Real Estate Finance group in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have experience representing lenders/buyers and/or borrowers/sellers in sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Represent lenders/buyers and/or borrowers/sellers in commercial real estate financing transactions.
• Handle loan originations, refinancings, and restructurings.
• Work on preferred equity financings and warehouse lending structures.
• Assist with CRE repurchase ("repo") facilities and note-on-note transactions.
• Support single-asset financings, portfolio and revolving structures, loan sales, and assignments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents.
• Manage due diligence and all aspects of transaction closings.
• Navigate complex financing matters efficiently and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients on sophisticated real estate finance transactions.
• Support the growth and development of the national Real Estate Finance practice.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of relevant commercial real estate finance experience.

• Experience with loan originations, refinancings, restructurings, preferred equity financings, warehouse lending structures, CRE repo facilities, note-on-note transactions, and/or loan sales and assignments.
• Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Ambition, drive, and a strong team-oriented approach.

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice.

Compensation:

$240,000-$410,000 annually, depending on experience, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life, disability, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
