Job summary

LT Executive Search Inc. is seeking a Development Associate for a premier real estate firm in downtown San Francisco.

The role focuses on underwriting development deals, market research, financial modeling, budgeting, and entitlements, with exposure to all facets of project development. The candidate will support the development team across market rate projects, manage budgets and forecasts, and assist in obtaining necessary governmental approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s in real estate development preferred.
• Experience supporting development teams and underwriting new projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research, site assessments, zoning assessments, and other due diligence related to site acquisition and development feasibility.
• Create and manage detailed financial models and budgets for all components of the project including roll-up models.
• Author, maintain and manage project budgets, schedules, and project trackers.
• Author financial forecasts, project reports, and investment memoranda.
• Assist with entitlements and governmental approvals (Specific Plan, EIR, Development Agreement, Tract Map, etc.).
• Coordinate third-party consultant contracts, budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and deliverables.
• Attend and participate in project meetings and presentations; assist in workshops and coordination meetings.
• Limited travel within the Bay Area may be required for project tasks.
