Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Seven (7) years of experience in real estate underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management.
• Completion of a corporate credit training program (or equivalent corporate banking/finance or real estate experience).
• Strong understanding of loan structuring needs, loan documentation requirements, and market knowledge.
• Financial analysis experience.
• Relationship management experience with coverage banker or client-facing team.
• Legal documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the credit process on credit opportunities including structuring, underwriting, loan documentation/negotiation, and closing.
• Maintain market knowledge of loan pricing, structural trends, and emerging risks within real estate sectors.
• Attend calls with coverage bankers to understand clients’ needs and business strategy around real estate portfolio.
• Collaborate with coverage bankers to develop strategies and deliver credit solutions.
• Serve as primary contact with Credit Risk team and present loan requests for approval/modifications.
• Coordinate with deal team during closing with various groups and clients as necessary.
• Support coverage banker around client selectivity meeting Regions’ risk profile.
• Work with Associate I and II to address issues during loan servicing; lead if modification required.
• Oversee Credit Servicing activities, quarterly risk identification and escalation.
