This role is client-facing and sits on the first line of defense, coordinating with Credit Risk and various deal teams.

Ideal candidates bring seven years of underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management with strong loan documentation expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Seven years of experience in real estate underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management.
• Completion of a corporate credit training program (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of loan structuring, documentation, and market knowledge.
• Financial analysis experience.
• Relationship management experience in a client-facing banking context.
• Legal documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the credit process on opportunities including structuring, underwriting, documentation, and closing.
• Maintains market knowledge of loan pricing, trends, and risks across real estate sectors to align with client needs and risk profile.
• Attends calls with coverage bankers to understand client needs and real estate strategy.
• Collaborates with coverage bankers to develop credit solutions for clients.
• Serves as primary contact with Credit Risk and presents loan requests for approval or modifications.
• Coordinates with deal team during closing with bankers, CLA, legal groups, clients, and others as needed.
• Supports coverage banker around client selectivity meeting Regions’ risk profile.
• Addresses issues during loan servicing, leading modifications if required.
• Potentially oversees all Credit Servicing activities to ensure quarterly risk monitoring.
