JPMorganChase in Chicago seeks an experienced Real Estate Credit Risk Associate to perform independent risk assessment and credit approvals for loans and related transactions. You will work with top product bankers and risk professionals across real estate, lodging, gaming, and related services.

The role involves analyzing business and financial risks, preparing credit documents, and maintaining portfolio risk ratings while supporting portfolio management initiatives within the CRE team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar discipline.
• Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit analysis and facilitate senior credit officer approval of lending and trading related transactions.
• Create written credit approval documents with financial statement analysis and cash flow projections.
• Develop forward-looking views of business, financials and risks for clients.
• Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures across industries.
• Participate in negotiating, finalizing, and executing loan and derivative documentation.
• Review and assign risk ratings and maintain credit research on clients.
• Manage existing CRE portfolio and participate in surveillance projects.
