Job summary

Lippes Mathias LLP in West Palm Beach is seeking a Real Estate Closing Paralegal to join our Lighthouse Title Services division. The role requires a Florida title agent license, notary status, and a solid background in residential closings.

You will review documents, verify compliance with laws, prepare closing statements, and coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and attorneys to keep closings moving smoothly.

Qualifications

About the Role

The West Palm Beach office of Lippes Mathias LLP has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Real Estate Closing Paralegalto join our vibrant Lighthouse Title Services division. We’re looking for someone who is customer service oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Reviewing and verifying all necessary documents for residential real estate transactions
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations during the closing process
• Preparing closing statements and transaction documents
• Coordinating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys
• Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in the title
• Conducting title searches to confirm ownership and identify any liens or claims
• Overseeing the signing of documents and funds disbursement
• Recording closing documents with relevant government agencies
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files and records
• Explaining closing procedures to clients and addressing their questions
• Ensuring all transaction parties meet their obligations before closing
• Scheduling and handling the logistics of the closing meeting
• Handling post-closing follow-ups and necessary corrections

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Florida title agent
• Associates' degree and/or minimum of three years experience as title closer
• Licensed Florida Notary
  
• Active relationships with real estate agents
• Familiarity with real estate and title software systems; Qualia a plus!
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of state and federal real estate laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Reliable and ethical, with strong integrity

Compensation

Salary range: $28 - $38 per hour. This is a good-faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
