About the Role

The Jacksonville office of Lippes Mathias LLP has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Real Estate Closing Paralegalto join our vibrant Lighthouse Title Services division. We’re looking for someone who is customer service oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Reviewing and verifying all necessary documents for residential real estate transactions
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations during the closing process
• Preparing closing statements and transaction documents
• Coordinating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys
• Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in the title
• Conducting title searches to confirm ownership and identify any liens or claims
• Overseeing the signing of documents and funds disbursement
• Recording closing documents with relevant government agencies
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files and records
• Explaining closing procedures to clients and addressing their questions
• Ensuring all transaction parties meet their obligations before closing
• Scheduling and handling the logistics of the closing meeting
• Handling post-closing follow-ups and necessary corrections

What We're Looking For

• Licensed Florida title agent
• Associates' degree and/or minimum of three years experience as title closer
• Licensed Florida Notary

• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of state and federal real estate laws and regulations

Compensation

Salary range: $25 - $35 per hour. This is a good-faith estimate for the position based on location and minimum criteria. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and other job‑related factors as permitted by law.
